Financial Leverage Vs. Living in Alignment —Is this all just a pipe dream?
Is it even possible to just do what you love in life? What about delayed gratification? Duty? Work ethic? Is alignment simply a pipe dream sold to us by disingenuous marketers?
I had to find out for myself.
This is the final part of a thread I’ve been pulling at and exploring in 2023. Part 1 explored the moment of realization (Building a Second Brain… and Why I Didn’t). I had just realized that I had gone from being a medical doctor — pursuing status, and a ‘good stable career’ for all the wrong reasons.
To an online business owner — pursuing higher and higher revenue numbers for all the wrong reasons.
A tough year in 2021 had ‘shaken the snow globe’ of my life. I eventually took action in mid-2022 and closed down my highly successful online coaching business because it ‘wasn’t aligned’.
What now?
Leverage vs. Alignment
At this point, I was in a highly privileged position where I had leverage. I made some good money as an online coach, most of which I had stashed away in real estate, crypto, and gold. I also had a supplement company that was providing a passive income.
