Gender labeling on bathrooms — an observation concerning mythical creatures and local wildlife

I’m currently traveling around the US and while I was in California, I noted that a lot of restrooms were gender-neutral, along with the appropriate signage.

Now, this is not unusual for small venues where they only have 1 or 2 single-user restrooms — perhaps they were called unisex before?

However, the reason I noticed this was because of the wide variety of ways in which the labeling was done.
